What is one thing that you are grateful for when you provide maternity care?
I really enjoy connecting with parents and the privilege of being part of an experience that is so special and also so private. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to make the experience the best it can be for women and their partners.

Describe a snapshot of an ordinary moment at work that brings you joy.
An ordinary moment in my work life that brings me joy is the fathers' amazement at the birth of their baby. They are so overwhelmed with joy it is just beautiful.

What turn of phrase do you use to encourage women while they are pushing?
Women have different needs during second stage - some need a lot of encouragement and supportive coaching - for them I will tell them how strong they are and remind them they will meet their baby soon. Some women are very focused and only need calm words and a peaceful atmosphere.
